Hello everyone .. I am new here and found your site while looking for a solution to my current problem.


I have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 Dishwasher - MDBH955AWB that is stuck in rinse only mode.


I have searched the internet and tried the following:

1. Disconnected power for 1 minute (no fix)
2. Disconnected power for 10 minutes (no fix)
3. Disconnected power for 30 minutes (no fix)
4. Took dishwasher apart and disconnected ribbon cable from touch pad and then reattached making sure the connection was snug (no fix)

Is anyone familiar with this brand and model?


I am wondering if the touch pad needs to be replaced or maybe the circuit board?


The main board is $150 and the touch pad starts at $225 on eBay (it is a discontinued part now).


I'm thinking I just need to bite the bullet and get a new one. This one is 15 years old now. :sad:

I'd buy a new machine. Next thing to go wrong, motor, etc... will cost about 1/2 to 2/3 cost of new when added to this repair. 15 years is nothing to be ashamed of for a lifespan these days.
