Hi guys.
I have a 2 ft by 4 ft hole I've patched. I've never textured a ceiling so can someone have a look and tell me what they think was used for this design

Could be thinned drywall mud applied with a roller. Or maybe thinned drywall mud applied with a roller ,then patted down with a scrunched up plastic bag.
Try experimenting. If it doesn't come close, you can just scrape it off.

Yea really looks like a roller and a thin coat of mud.
