I have to remove the grout where the walls and floor of my shower meet (it's cracked; replacing with silicone). While I realize that using an oscillating tool would make my life easier, I don't have one (and don't want to get one just for this job). So of the two types of grout cutters available, which is better/sucks less?

I have the ridgid tool, it's ok for small areas, but if the grout is hard, you will get tired pretty fast and you will wear out the tool.

Both of those blow if you need to remove more than a little grout. Your best bet really is the electric tool.

$20 oscillating tool from Harbor Freight. Best investment for an otherwise miserable job.

Can you get a grout "blade" for those oscillators? That sure would have been helpful to me.
