Had a manitowoc ice machine that kept tripping the breaker.Diagnosed a bad starter relay.The part was under 50 dollars on Amazon.Had a technician come out and do it.Charged me 410 dollars.

This topic comes up frequently.
Remember, because you can buy it for $50 does not mean that's what it'll cost you to have someone drive to your location, in a fully insured vehicle stocked with tools and supplies, to diagnose and repair your problem. There's a HUGE amount of cost to keep the business doors open, and trucks on the road.
If the problem is fixed, and the performance of the machine is well, then you didn't get ripped off. You had a proper service call.

It is a DIY site not a pricing, not a I think I got ripped off forum.

I got schooled on the price.More importantly the post is about pointing out what may happen when the breaker keeps tripping.I could not find a thread previously on a tripped breaker.Had I seen a post about a possible starter relay replacement, things might have turned out differently.This is a self help forum don't give me your bs on truck,insurance etc.

Then if it's a self help forum, you should have fixed it yourself.
The problem is only a diagnosis away.
You didn't get ripped off. Your equipment got fixed.

I'm not. Just remember you did pay that price for a part, you paid it for a technician to come repair your equipment properly.
