Local stores do not carry the Makita sawzall and all I need to know is whether they use any blade on the market or are they proprietary. Reason I'm looking at Makita is I already have a couple of their Lithium Ion drills so cordless may be the way to go.

My Milwaukee is dying and it's time for another but not too heavy. I also searched for a Porter Cable Tiger Cub but it looks as though they are not making them anymore.

They use a universal sawsall blade.

Glad to hear that because a new cordless is on the way. :yes: I'll use it for mostly light duty work and the cordless should mate well with the drill/drivers.
