I've been a painter for a living off and on. I have two teenage daughters who were allowed to have a friend draw a small mural on their bedroom wall. That, of course, turned into their besties signing their names and writing messages on every wall in the room. I had other things going on, so it was left for about 2 years. Now I'm trying to put the house back together, and recover from the teenage years! Lol so I got a couple small holes patched, then started to Prime over the writing. I was sure that the black lipstick used to draw a big mushroom was going to be the biggest problem. Turns out, it's the blue eyeliner! I went over the spots I thought would be the worst with a brush and a bit of primer. It seemed like it was going to cover, so I went over all the graffiti in the room with primer. So now that it's been covered, I figured out that it's not going to cover the blue. This photo is after 4 coats of ControlZ primer. And I wasn't shy about laying it to it. Now I realize I should have scrubbed these areas before priming. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm at my wit's end!
