Hi all. When running a conduit into the main panel (200 amp QO square D), does it matter where on the side of the main panel I come in with the conduit? thanks

It might, depending upon the wire bending space.

ok. there is more room at the bottom, where the main is . Does it have to be above that?

Generally, main at top, top feed, main at bottom, bottom feed.

I think the last link worked....conduit in question is for the inlet box. Can it be that low, below the main? or do I need to relocate higher? thanks

Is that a generator inlet you are installing?
If that is the conduit you are talking about, you are good to go.

yes it's for my generator. I just wasn't sure if the location was ok. I also was planning on putting the breaker at spots 1 and 3, right side of panel, but the lockout kit requires the breaker to be on 2 and 4. So I have to run the wires to the opposite side of the box from where the conduit is.Typical I read the instructions after I had the conduit in.
