Mahogany Porch Floor Coating?

3685 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  NAV
I installed a Mahogany porch floor at my house last year and sealed it with Cabots Australian timber oil. well, its already ready to be coated again and I want to use another product.

anyone know if a 50/50 mixture of linseed oil and mineral spirits would work well to preserve the wood and keep the natural look of the Mahogany?

any other suggestions? NO Thompsons product recommendations please.

Well I washed it and applied Sherwin Williams Acrylic Clear over the wood. this winter something happened and it looks like total crap now.

I am going to have to strip it and apply a new product. Spar Varnish would look nice but I am concerned with how it will hold up on such a large and flat surface.

TWP makes a wood shingle roof sealer that I might try. Haven't decided yet
