I have read about the diy magnetic electric generator you can make to power your home for free. The principle is not in question. An on-line company granted me a copy, but it is not very definitive, and as it would take some milling, etc., which is not mentioned, I am wondering about what others, whom they claim have made theirs, did. And where you actually get the Alnico grade 4 magnets. (grade 4 seems extinct). Any one ever hear of this generator or made one?

Sure. Since you got it granted to you, then you got off easy, because it is a scam. No device can generate energy without energy being put into it. It really is as simple as that. So, unless that generator couples to a water wheel, or steam turbine, or some other source of motive power, it simply will not work.

But, in the interest of science send me the link or post the files here so we can get a good evaluation of them.

there is a perpetual motion machine with magnets. I read the patent. Dunno' what happened to it, or the inventor.

Don't send any money to these people. Have them show you numbers; it's hard to spin numbers but I've seen it done.

I have heard of this before a company in the Netherlands leases them its call the peredev generator. Interesting concept I wouldn't mind having one for my home.

Folks, I don't want to sound negative, because I'm about the most optimistic in the world when it comes to technology, but there is NO energy inside of a magnet which can be extracted. The only energy inside of a magnet is the potential energy stored in it when the field is stressed, like when you push similar poles together. It is very much like a spring. Even if you could extract the latent energy of the field itself, it would quickly cease to be a magnet, as the energy is finite and small.

There is no magical reservoir or source of energy within magnets. I have watched lots of videos about these machines, and read the material, and done experiments. Not one time have I ever seen one of the supposed free energy machines close the loop and power itself. Sorry.

Like I said, Id' be interested in looking at the plans and instructions, so please put them up for us all to see.

All generators are magnetic. That is how electricity is made. You move a wire through a magnetic field and electricity is generated.

Actually there was an interesting prototype being developed for a lightweight electric car motor (I think by Sony) that involved a permanent magnet on a rotor completely encircled by another permanent magnet (of opposing polarity) with an ever-increasing air gap between the two as the rotor turned. The outside magnet had a gap in it that was filled by an electromagnet capable of being pulsed at a precise time.
The theory was that the electromagnet would be momentarily pulsed (opposing polarity of the rotor magnet) sufficiently strongly enough to force the rotor magnet into the encompassing magnet. Once inside, the rotor would continue to rotate in the direction of the ever-increasing air gap due to the opposing polarities. Once it had completed a rotation back to the electromagnet, the electromagnet was pulsed again and the process repeated.
The theory was that since an outside energy source was only required during the pulse, smaller batteries (i.e., lighter batteries) could be put in a car.
It evidently didn't work well enough to merit production.
