We have an older home, but it was mostly re-piped back in the 1980's using copper pipe except in a couple areas which still use galvanized pipe. One of the old areas is the short section that goes through the foundation and supplies the whole house.

We have poor water flow/pressure all around.

I suspect that if we re-pipe just the galvanized sections with copper or PEX of the right sizes, we just might fix the problem. In other words, as far as I know, copper pipes are not susceptible to corrosion and scale buildup inside.

Anyone have experience with flow problems resulting from copper pipe? How much chance is there that there is restricted flow in the copper sections?

Far more likly it's the old steel pipes causing the problum. They rust out and close up from the inside.
Is there 3/4" main runs?
What happens to copper on the inside depends on what minerals are in the water. There far more likly to leak then plug up.

I would suspect the very same thing. Not impossible, but not nearly as likely that you have any problems with the copper.
