This new-old house (we moved in 2 yrs ago) came with 3 lines of what I'd call lo-pressure drip irrigation piping on a house bib and a 4-way "Y" in the front.
I ignored them at first (other concerns) but now have a use for them. So I turned them on to find this' one is obvious and leaking, for another I found and pulled up the far end - it was cut off by a shovel at some point so 10-12' came up out of the ground. I think I've seen the far end of the 3rd. It's capped and doesn't flow.
I want to minimize the digging I have to do to put these into use. From the hose bib they go almost immediately under ground. To trace them - How deep are these usually buried? And can I assume elbows weren't used so they radius of the curves would be what, about 3-4 feet?

Are the lines for shrubs and trees....or ? Why not leave them in place and buy new drip and leave it on top of the ground and start using 1/4 inch feeder lines or emitters and see how it goes. You can always bury 3" later on.

Before doing this, test your bibb. How long to fill a 5 gallon bucket..... and get or borrow a water pressure gauge that screws to your hose bibb. What is psi ?
