I get my hot water from a peerless boiler. Low pressure does not affect baseboard heat that works fine. When I turn on a faucet or shower the hot water pressure drops to a trickle in about a minute. If I turn the faucelt off and wait a minute pressure rebuilds and then will drop to a trickle again in about a minute. What could this be???

first thing i would try would be to take the aerator off and flush the faucet out good, also take the supply lines loose (which connect to the faucet) and flush them out good. Also the shower heads-take them off and run the hot at full throttle without the head on. Be sure and clean the rear of the shower heads too. Sounds like you may have some crud in the lines building up behind the aerators and shower heads.. That may or may not be the problem, but it won't cost but a few minutes of your time to rule it out.

Check your pressure tank. Low on air or a blown bladder can cause this.
See if the pump turns on the instant you open the faucet.
