I was attempting to turn on my closet light, with negative results, I replace the bulb and still had negative results. So I loosen the screws and see that one of the wires is no longer attached.
My question is, which of these is the correct location to reattach it to? Also, do I need electrical tape for this? Because I don’t have any at the moment and can’t run out due to being quarantined.

Yes, those off white wires

Strip a full 1" of it and wrap it clockwise around those whites and nut it up firmly.

The last guy didn't do that, that's why it came loose.
