Have you had any success with a heavy duty shop vac? Which ones? Your recommendations are appreciated greatly.

I have the Ridgid Pro 14 gallon (not the pop-off hand vac one) and love it. The SNR noise reduction actually makes this the quietest vac I've ever heard. I've beat the crap out of this thing for years with saw dust, drywall dust, sand, water, screws & bolts - about anything you can think of.

They now offer a lifetime warranty and HEPA filters available. The only thing that I don't like is the chincy little bag that's supposed to hold the tools. That got thrown out a while back. I don't know if they upgraded that yet or not.
