Well... I have to be back on this again after fours year. My kitchen sink is acting up again and draining slowly. I think it was made worse after we made marshmallow treats (a week ago) but it was acting up before that.

There is a garbage disposal underneath it and I'm not sure if that is clogging and slowing down the drain or if it is something else down the drain line in the longer horizontal section.
I did have an issue 4 year ago in the horizontal section which I clear out with a 50' auger.

It seems the water is pooling inside the disposal pit in about 8 seconds.

All the other drains in the house are flowing properly. I check the P-trap it is clear. I gave it two over night treatments of Bioclean. Seems like it made it worse.

It's a kitchen island sink. I attached a picture of what it looks like under neath.

After what happened 4 years ago I make sure oil or gunky stuff like that isn't poured in the kitchen sink.

I'm looking for good degreaser that won't harm the black drain pipes and can eater thought sludge / oil / marshmallows / sugar.
I think the pipes are ABS - please correct me if wrong.

Suggestions please.

Bio Clean will "digest" the grease and allow it to be flushed through the drain. It will not clear a completely clogged line. For a completely clogged line, you would have to snake it first to get flow and then use the Bio Clean to get all the grease out.

The drain is flowing but it is starting to slow down significantly.

The Bio Clean I have is 4 year old. Is it past it shelf life? The product looks fine and powdery. When I mix it with water it kind ow foams up a little like yeast. But that is what I've been using for last two treatments.
