Loft ladder installation

Hi guys,

I’m new to this forum and generally new to DIY.
I can put up shelves and do the very basics, but need to learn more.

I recently bought a used loft ladder and thought it would be simple enough, but I haven’t got a clue what’s going on haha.
I think I can tell which way up the ladder goes but that’s about it.

I’ve attached some photos to show what bits I was given.

I can see that the item in pic 1 is a roller type thing, which should slot into the guides on the side of the ladder.
What I can’t work out is where I attach it to.
I can see there are several large screws in the plate, so I guess it needs to be screwed to the attic floor?
But if that’s the case then the angle would stop the metal rods from pointing to the floor, which is where it looks to me as if they need to be.

Secondly, the metal bar type thing in pic 3 seems like it also needs to be connected to the attic floor and it seems that it locks into the red hook things which are attached to the ladder.
But where exactly does this go too?

Thanks in advance.
Totally confused haha

Lay it ut and back up and take a picture so we have a better view of what you have.
I would guess the bracket is screwed up and the ladder swivels on it.

This hole seems like it might take the end of this spring mechanism.

Sometimes a "deal" is not such a great idea.
