Hi all was wondering if someone can give me their opinion in a wall that I am looking to tear down.
I know that my wall is perpendicular to the wall I want to taken down but does it mean that it is a load bearing wall?
The width of the house is 180 inches and the wall is about 60 inches away from the exterior wall ( brick wall of the house).
Here is the wall I want to take down

Here is a pic of my living room and there are no other walls like it.

I checked that joists run the entire width of the house without having to connect to joists together ( no splicing).
I read somewhere that you can check whether this is load bearing by inspecting the attic. Can someone elaborate on some details for that?
Also, I can check if the top part of that wall is a header, if it turns out that it is not a header can I safely tear it down?
Thanks for your help!
