A couple of studs under the basements stairs were removed when I bought house. One of the studs is under a wall. Is that considered a load bearing wall. If so, what do we need to do to support it?

sounds like you need a header, but can't say for sure without looking at it. how many studs, what is the floor underneath it, etc.

We need a picture----That was setting on the basement floor? I doubt if it was load bearing.
