Hello,
I have 2 frost free spigots, one at the front of the house and one at the back. Both spigots had been shut off all winter using a ball valve on the inside of my garage. I went to use the back spigot for the first time this year and could imminently tell it didn't have enough pressure. I noticed that water was spraying from the top of the plastic cap on the spigot. I went to Lowes, picked up a rebuild kit, and replaced the parts. Now the spigot is not leaking at all but I still have very little pressure.
What's concerns me is that when I turn the spigot on, I can hear water continually running through the hose, even though I have a sprayer on the end that is closed. When I do the same thing on the front spigot, you can only hear water running in the hose for a second and it stops once the hose is finished filling. I also have plenty of pressure on that particular spigot.
Is it possible, even though I had it shut off for the winter, that the spigot or line busted somewhere? I've checked the floors and walls thoroughly and don't see any signs of water leaking. Maybe it busted the spigot itself and its leaking into the wall of my garage, which is cinder block.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
