So I cut these wires earlier and I forgot to cut the breaker in this room beforehand. It tripped the breaker for the room and also the breaker for the hallway light. I reset both breakers, but now the hall light won't turn on even though the breaker isn't tripped. I tried replacing the bulb, but no go. How come?

Move the wires from the back stab connections to the screw terminals. Back stabs are a very common cause of open connections.

One of your neutral wires looks slightly burned. Turn off the breaker and move all the wires to the screws instead of the back stabs.
