what i need to know is does anyone know how to connect these things to the mains ? i have tested my wiring i did for the main ring in the extansion and its all live so i just want to know how to fit these lights to it

I have no DiY experience i have purely done the complete extansion and kitchen by looking at forums like this to learn so please be gentle with me lol
I live in the UK btw ( dunno if this effects the woring at all )

This isn't my most helpful post ever, but...

Are you sure you want to install these things? I have no knowledge of approval/listing agencies in the UK (such as UL here), but are these fixtures listed or otherwise approved for use?

Sketchy undocumented electrical fixtures bring a picture of house fires to my mind...

OK I think i was a touch vague in my post lol

Basically what it is I need to know how to wire these tranformers in, I can see where the main power goes in but i cant understand how the light itself fixes to the transformer as there is only 1 point that cable can go in or out of(pic 4)

Yes some people may see this as a touch dangerous but I have members of my local council checking progress and checking all the work i do every other day to make sure it is safe.

Haha, pic 4 is not of a transformer; that's the connector you hook the wires into for the light. You don't have a transformer pictured in any of those pics.

I did see them in France a bit and no they are NOT transfomer they are actally line voltage set up.

But can you take a photo of the top of that luminaire due I need to double check the set up otherwise someone did not give you correct parts to do the hook up and useage.

..... still kinda stuck on this one
Papa you are asking folks who except for Marc are 5,000+ miles away an arcane question on a DIY forum expecting a solution from as you say
..... as he said i needed a proffessional sparky and he said this is all I need to do it........
Don’t you have a local Sparky?

Folks here have been trying to help, but remember this is a DIY forum. You can't expect us to be experts on your problem.

Ok now I can see it more clear on that one.,

If the bulb marked 240v you should able see it on the white bulb base if that the case you are good to go there.

Now to hook up take two conductors from the bulb base to the black gimzo which I think it is a thermal switch { if recall the UK lumiaires are little diffrent than N.A. / French system is } then take the twinner I am pretty sure you have 2.5mm² just hook up to the termail block and cover it up properly and pop it in place { if you going to hook up to the ring circuit you will need a inline fuse holder for that } but for radial set up it is not a issue.

Before you pop that luminarie in make sure nothing above can get ingited like insluationing mataerals etc keep it 60mm away from it.

it should work good for ya.

Merci,Marc
