I recently moved into a new home and there were the light bulbs that were in the bathroom ceiling. They are slowly burning out and I can not find replacements. I will be showering in the dark soon. Does anyone know what these are called or where to find them? I've never see a base like this.

Thanks

Take the bulb to a real lighting store.

Not your local BOX store, a lighting only store, most places have at least one that specializes in lighting only.

What does the printing on the bulb say, look at their website.

Does the button depress and then spring back out when released?

Does the bulb have a photosensor or opaque shading on one side?

Such a base with a depressable button is sometimes used for a bulb or device that may need to be turned a little more to be faced in a specific direction after making contact with the bottom of the socket.

You can substitute a bulb with equal or lesser wattage and with a base that screws into the same socket. It may be necessaru to use a paper clip wire with a tiny J bend at the end to lift the tab at the bottom of the socket to make proper contact with the new bulb.
