I have a LifeBreath 200MAX, an air processing and removal system for the home, and I believe the motor is shot. The unit is original with the house which was built 12 years ago. Anyone familiar with this system and if so, is it possible to replace the motor? Hope this was descriptive enough, if not I can provide more details.

Thanx in advance!

Ron,
Seems like the obvious thing to do....no actually. I located the company online, they are out of Canada and they do list a number. I thought about it but before I did I wanted to check here. I am a pretty handy DIY'er and my experiences contacting businesses that deal in these products is that they will do anything to get more money out of you without assisting by phone or email. They want to sell a new one or send a tech out at ALOT per hour. The new unit sells for $1200. Thanks

Another option would be remove the motor and bring it in for either repair or to tell you it's shot. Unless this is a special motor, a repair facility should be able to troubleshoot it for you.

TM, google info lists this as a 5 speed motor, so not off the shelf type at your local ace hardware. Either way it carries a 5 year warranty and should be replaceable if you are careful.
Do as mentioned post some info here or go one line for the trouble shooting manual. If it comes down to replace or rebuild there will be specs on the motor housing and supplier info.
Highly unlikely this motor is only used by Lifebreath, much more likely it was supplied by a US company, like GE or Emerson or someone big in HVAC supply.

Why don't you contact a technician who can deal with your motor problem? I guess http://ductworks.net can help you out with your problem, as they have over 50,000 HVAC parts available to us including furnaces, AC, heat pumps, custom ductworks, insulated fiber ductwork and replacement parts for most model types.
I heard the company had been indicted for fraud and prostitution. Have they made bail already?
