I am installing a 18k Single Zone LG mini spilt system (LS180HSV5). The instructions are not entirely clear on what to do if you cut your lineset? It looks like the factory compressor charge should be good up to 32.8ft according to the table for the LS180. I will be cutting my lines down to about 17-18 ft and having someone help me do the flared connections. Should I be concerned about having too much refrigerant in the system?

No, you should be ok.
Just make sure to do a proper leak test and evacuation. Most issues with minis are due to leaks due to improper installation techniques.
