My home has recessed lighting in the bedrooms that we'd like to upgrade to LED. Unfortunately the cans seem to be an odd size, they are 5.5" inside diameter. We put some LED spots on them for the time being, but some of the trim rings are missing. I tried a few different lights from Home Depot a year and a half ago but none of them fit. Is anyone aware of retrofit kits for this size of can?

There are no brand names on them. These were installed around 1989 and half of the trim rings and other parts are gone. The ones remaining are horribly yellowed. This house was a foreclosure and if it wasn't nailed down, it went in a dumpster. I have LED bulbs in them already but want to upgrade so they look nice. Another hurdle is that they don't have the clips inside for the torsion springs; the ones that have all the parts still with them have springs that pull everything up into the can, bringing the trim up against the ceiling. Wondering if I can get more springs and attach the spring to the LED retrofit and install it that way...
