I bought some led lights I'm wanting to install in my car. I had the idea of buying one of those plugs with leads that can plug into the cigarette lighter outlet and wiring the lights to that for power. The only problem is my led lights have 24g wire and the plug with the leads have 18g wire. Is there any harm in splicing these together? Both sizes of wire are rated for 300v, and my lights are made to run with 12V power.
If it matters, I have 4 light bars with 4 LEDs in each one. All of them connect to a controller the controller has the 24g power wires coming out.
