Just bought dimmer this one
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07V5C2XLC
To replace wall switch, but when I removed old manual switch - there is no neutral, but ground attached to metal box.

I connected dimmer live to live, load to load and neutral to ground, ground left unconnected. And it working.

No I cannot remove chandelier and rewire ground wire to neutral, cause it not insulated.

Is it OK to leave it like this? I know if somebody disconnect ground wire on calling, he may get electric shock if touch disconnected ground wire.
Something else?

Dimmer switch all plastic, no metal plate.

Found them
Lutron Caseta Dimmer Switch
$63. Requred hub for $99 to integrate with smart home

Inovelli ZWave Dimmer Switch
$34. If it works with Xiaomi hub - it's best option.

Require minimum 25W load, not suitable to dim small lights.

Bad, zwave is not zigbee.
So... I need another hub. So many hubs its not good.

Dimmers without neutral wire does not have Wi-Fi, it use low power networks and require hub.

Will my home probably become in fire if I leave it like this?

I am not law abiding
