I am in the process of adding a rec room in my basement. The plan calls 36 led can light 65 watt equivalent, which draw 13watts per can. There are 4 different zones. My question is: is it acceptable to to have 9 cans on one switch. I know the rule of thumb used to be not more than 6 for incandescent.

36 cans in a basement sees like a lot, must be a big basemant. Make sure you get dimmable LEDs and compatible dimmers.

Griz, I realized my mistake and edited it, thanks for pointing it out.
Area to finished is large 15 x 54. dimmers are definitely in the plan,
& I told the wife we were downsizing. yea right
