Hello..as a new home owner, I'm trying to learn more about DIY and am starting small. Apologies if this question seems ridiculous.

My Moen Chateau kitchen faucet is leaking (from the spout) and I wanted to get at the parts to see if I can replace them. I can't seem to find a way to open it up though. There's no set screw or cover that I can see. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a pic here...

Thanks mj, I did check some videos on youtube, but my faucet doesn't have a cover like the one in the video. I checked all around for a set screw but just can't seem to find one.

Have you looked online for the product manual? I have a hunch that the set screw is under the black cover.

Hi dj, thanks...yes, I thought so too, but I tried opening it with a flathead with no luck. I did find the manual from Moen's site, but all it shows are installation diagrams with no specific mention about any of this.

Duh to me. The entire cap comes up...thanks for the help though!

I heard that moen will replace the cartridge for free

Moen customer service is very helpful I have found. I've called them a couple of times and they have sent repair parts right out with no hassle.
