I've just installed a new range and the only leak I have during the check is coming from the vent hole on the regulator. The regulator is new and everything else is tight and not leaking.

The vent hole is to allow the diaphragm underneath it to not have to work in a vacuum/closed space. Needs to be able to move up down and be open to the atmosphere. When gas leaks out it there is a pinhole in the diaphragm and the reg needs replacing. Probably a dud or very old stock/dried up diaphragm.
