I've read in forums to fix a leaking (from bottom) furnace, "remove small panel around the copper pipe and check the evaporator coil for a clog." I think I’m trying to open the right panel. My furnace stands vertical, I’m reaching up to a copper wire and padded wire (I think also copper) probably eye level to 5'9". It has two panels that look like they should slide apart, but they don't. I've tried sliding, pulling, lifting and sliding. I'm not 100% sure I'm going in the right panel if I can't get it open.

If anyone has a clue what I'm talking about I'd appreciate u tellin me.
Thanks!

Do you have water leaking from your furnace when the AC is running?
