I am in the process of redoing our sundeck and wanted to eliminate a water infiltration problem. Along the area where the addition meets the house is a gap/open seam that extends the full depth of the metal pan concrete deck.

My plan of action was to remove all the loose concrete and debris then apply an expanding spray foam. Then I was going to apply waterproof concrete over the entire surface and finish it off with a product called Siliconizer here in Costa Rica. Here is the link to the product http://www.lancopaints.com/english/products/4.3_elas_latex_roof_coating.html

Am I going about this the right way or should I take a different route?
