I have a Price Pfister Marielle three piece kitchen faucet assembly (26-3NXX) and there is a leak at the spout (both at base and top)I have not yet disassembled the spout (I have the schematic) but aside from washers what else cold be leaking. On the schematic I see a part (971-002) just below the cap on the spot but nowhere does it ell me what this is or what it does. Suggestions please.

Leaking at the base is usually a worn o-ring. Leaking from the spout could just be a bad aerator, or the threads at the aerator are cracked.

Leaking Faucet

Aerator is OK and tomorrow I will pull the faucet shroud (guess that is what you call it) off, need to use an Allen wrench to remove the Tensioner on the spout and I hope that the shroud will then pull off exposing the feed tube and all gaskets and washers. What do you think?

Leaking Spout

Took cap off of spout and found a brass nut with Allen wrench center, as the spout was rocking a bit in the vertical I slowly tightened the nut to remove the play and currently the leak is no more. (film at 11:00).
