Hi All,
I'm looking at some of the inexpensive stand-alone Leaf Mulchers (not pulled behind a mower) and wanted to see if anyone has recomendations or warnings.
I'm looking at the following options:
- WORX WG430
- Flowtron LE-900
- GudCraft LM999
- STEELE GM655

Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

I used to have one similar to this. I would describe this as for VERY light-duty use.

I find it very difficult to segregate leaves from small sticks. Unfortunately, the small sticks can create problems for these. Also, these can be a problem with wet leaves. Throughput is minimal.

They do fine if your leaves are dry and you don't have a lot of leaves (maybe one big tree worth), but I quickly came to the conclusion that it was more work than it was worth.

I would consider one of these if your leaf volume is relatively small, you don't want to mulch via lawn mower, and you have some particularly compelling reason for needing to fit them into one or two trash cans. Otherwise, save your money for something a bit more capable.

Go on any web site selling used equipment such as Craigs list. There's dozens of these used for sale, Main reason, they do not work as advertized as stated.
Just buy a mulching blade for your mower.
