i have a murray widebody that is about 10 years old and in good condition, but for the ignition system. i have replaced the battery, selonoid, and ignition switch but still have problems turning over the engine. normally, when the key is turned, nothing happens, no click, buzz, or purr. after many tries, suddenly it turns over and starts normally. all contacts are tight.
any ideas???

It's the cranking circuit, not the ignition. There must be an intermittent open or an interlock switch preventing cranking. Can you post a schematic?

Some systems have an in-line fuse in the circuit. If you have one, it could be just loose or about to go bad.

check your owners manual and find out where the starter interlock switches are,there are probably a couple[seat-clutch-pto-ect.] check these conections and swithes and make sure the linkages engage them properly
