Landscaping Book Recommendations

Hey Everyone!

Starting to think about what we want to do for a long term landscaping plan. We have a ton of ideas, but we don't really know the best way to come up with a good plan we can stick to for our property, its locations challenges, as well as saving what's left from the previous owners of the home.

We have been drawing everything out for this house. Floor plan and it's modifications, the lot plan, and ultimately the landscaping plan. I really want to educate myself on some techniques for creating pleasant spaces on a acre size blank canvas, what type of ground covers, trees, shrubbery, etc., will work for us.

Can anyone recommend a good book or two... or three?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! There seems to be a TON of publications out there. I don't even know what to start with.

Thanks everyone!
Scott

Anyone? Book recommendations?
Why not start at the library? No since in buying one untill you figure out what works for you.

The library is fantastic! Or at least the idea is. Our library isn't the best and because of my work schedule is hard for me to get to. Almost easier for me to order from Amazon and take my chances. I can get a book via amazon sooner than I can actually get to the library. Kind of sad like that...

this is a great source for ideas
