Hey guys,

I recently had laminate flooring installed in one of my rooms. The guy who did the installation was mentioning to me that obviously you want to avoid spilling any water on it because it would damage it. He was mentioning that there is a water sealant that does help prevent some absorption from liquid spillage, but that it is not sold in very many stores. Like its more commercial. Just wondering if anybody knows the name of it or where it can be ordered.

Not going to happen.
A laminite floor should not have any type of coating applyed to it.
Even if you did where's it going to go?

as long as you clean spills up quickly, it wont affect it. you just cant leave liquids on it or use too much liquid when u clean it. best to clean it with a dust mop and make sure you clean up any spills immediately.

Would sweat be damaging to the laminate flooring. We used to do the insanity workout in this room when it was carpet and we would drip sweat onto it. We are thinking of starting back up this workout but are not sure if its smart to workout on that type of floor and drip sweat all over it.

thanks to are of your responses thus far!

Just have a couple of towels handy. Wipe up the drips as you go. Especially because it could also make the floor slippery.

When I do the Insanity pushups (and even the stretch work after the 9 minute warmup), I lay a towel on the floor to catch the drips.

Now, my only concern is some of the cardio moves involve some start/stop movements. I'm wondering if that could case the laminate to move? (I'm assuming here the laminate is floating and not glued down.
