It probably was installed wrong, that may be why it's separating. When installing laminate, if you have too small of a gap from the wall, it will buckle, if there is too big of a gap, it will separate. It's a floating floor, therefore,not adhered to the subfloor.About the peeling...what are you using to clean and maintain it?? Laminate doesn't do well with water (sponge mops for instance) so over time, you can expect this to happen. Try using a terry cloth mop, and a spray cleaner,( Bona, Bruce, or whatever brand) that says it's for wood or laminate. If it's peeling it may be too late though.my laminate flooring is seperating in the hallway and in the livingroom it looks as if it is going to start peeling....why is it doing this?
