Which is better the laminate flooring with the pad all-ready attached or buy the pad seperatly.
I assume when buying the pad get the more expensive one?

Laminate hardwood floor pad.

It is the same not better .
The quality of the pad is what matters, you can get the laminate floor that has thin cheap pad attached to the floor so of course it will not be better then nice say 3 mm cork underlament (pad)
It is easer to install the laminate floor it the pad is on the floor.
Make sure to use the plastic moisture barrier if you install over concrete or if there is a lot of moisture in the subfloor.

IMO it's better to use a separate pad. We always use a 3 in 1 pad. It has the moisture barrier on it along with pretaped edges to seal the whole thing together as a membrane. Using laminate with pad on the back means you still have to put down a separate moisture barrier if vapor transmission is a concern for you.

yea...pad attached seems like a freakishly great idea.
It's ok, but if you have to install a membrane first it saves no time...plus you can't upgrade pad like what was mentioned above.

Ya I think I will go with a non pad attached.

the one without the pad is better. Has a longer life than the padded ones.
