No, but if there's no built in padding on the back side of the flooring your going to have to lay that first.
Might want to read the box or go on line and read the manufactures install directions.

Before going foward on this figure out how your going to trim out where it meets the stairway. Last thing you want is a trip hazzard.

Yes, there will be somehow a transition with the stair
I will redo the stairs with oak, not laminate
I think I can manage to have the last stair perfectly at the same level of the laminate..and for the transition strip, I will have to find a thin one.
Don't see what I can do else...
