I have a frame house (on blocks) that has the typical frame house movement problem. Other than an occasional sheetrock seam separation, I have no problems with it. I am considering replacing the carpet with laminate flooring because of the cleanliness issue but my wife tells me that laminate flooring would buckle in this type of house. I was under the impression that laminate flooring was actually a floating floor and that it wouldn't move if the house shifted. Your opinions please.

As long as the floor is flat it will work fine.

and make sure to leave the required expansion gaps around the perimeter.
