We installed about 1400 sq ft of Konecto Prestige 2 years ago. The product has worn reasonably well with the exception of some buckling. It was installed over a wood subfloor according to Metroflor's specification by a professional installer. The first summer after it was installed we noticed an area that was buckling. We called the distributor, who contacted Metroflor, and they sent out a company to do an "independant" flooring evaluation. The area in question is under several skylights and it was determined to be an "environmental" factor not eligible for warranty. The flooring apparantly overheats from the skylights and causes varying rates of contraction and expansion in the vinyl. We happen to live in the Pacific NW with only short periods of sun exposure per day on that area. Metroflor's warranty mentions nothing of buckling due to sun exposure. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? We are in the process of evaluating our legal options. Any comment or experience you could share would be helpful.
