:whistling2oes anyone know what the min. distance between the horizontal vent stack and the drain is? The vent stack is partially blocking the supply line to the faucet and I want to know if "shortening up" the vent will affect the drain.

Not sure I understand your question. The vent is supposed to go all the way through the roof, or to the outside. You do have some leaway as to the routing.

The vent line from the sink should be tied into the main vent or go up through the roof on it's own. Neither one of these would allow "shortening it up". Not really sure what you mean.

If your asking what the distance is on a horz run from a traped fixture to a vent stack is there is no min only max 1 1/4" is 5ft and 2" is 6 ft

also if you are talking about a vent off a sink or lav then the vent must go 6" above flood level rim before turning horz
