My Kitchen drain is leaking somewhere inside the cinderblock wall, probably where the elbow meets the vent. It was an exterior wall, the porch is now enclosed.

I guess there are two options come from inside the cabinets or the exterior wall.

But what I am wondering is if there is any chance that the builders (1964) anticipated that the pipe could leak and perhaps left some kind of an opening at the elbow where the drain vent meets the drain pipe? Is that at all possible? And what tool is best to use to go through the cinderblock?
