Kitchen sink Diverter replacement

Hi,
I am trying to replace the Diverter on my Hamat kitchen faucet. It's a single handle faucet with a side spray. After removing the body, there is a cover that needs to be removed to get to the Diverter.

Does anyone know how to remove this cover? See attached for a photo.
