Hi,

Could anyone let me know what order of work will be next? I have rough plumbing/ electric work done, Drywall done, paint done, and cabinet installation is almost done. There is new dishwasher/ garbage disposal/ countertop/ backsplash need to be connected/ installed. Whom should I call first? I’ll be doing backsplash.

I would think the countertop would have to be the next thing, assuming the sink is in the countertop. The sink will need to be in place for the garbage disposal and sink drains to be connected. The countertop will also need to be in place and secured, so that the dishwasher frame can be secured to it. I don't know of any reason why it would matter what order the dishwasher and disposal installation goes in.

Thank you, in my area, usually countertop trades people set sink as well. Your explanation makes sense. One more thing, When does electrician comes in to install outlets? First home, first mid range renovation other than small powder room with existing layout. Thanks in advance!

When does electrician comes in to install outlets?

The wiring and boxes are generally installed before the drywall, but the outlets can be done anytime. The outlets for the disposal and dishwasher are easier to do before the countertop, but can be done after.
