Kitchen Gut Job

820 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Old Thomas
ok so I have completely gutted my mid 1800's circa home, everything from the basement up. Electrical, wiring, plumbing, plumbing stack, all new windows, (which not one of them was original size ) staircases, even pulled floor board and put new sub-flooring (there was a time you could stand in basement and look up to see attic 2 floors above) anyway here is a short video of my kitchen gut and rebuild, I had 2 requirements from my wife, a pot filler and a plate rack. I custom built all cabinets, along with my own version of a under-counter microwave. went with bamboo counter tops and a granite sink. let me know what you think?

Nice job. I did the same thing in the early 1980s in our NY house. Since I retired in 2011 we have updated every room and built a sun porch. Our FL house was move in ready, once in a lifetime is enough to live in a construction zone.
