I am remodeling a kitchen and the floor is off 1" in 16'. The layout is in a U-shape 7' wide by 16' long. The floor is straight, but has steady climb to one corner. Do I still measure off the highest corner to 34.5" scribe a line around the walls and hold the base cabinets to that height and shim the cabinets up to 1" or just set them on the floor to mount and shim where neeed?

If I shim up to the line, won't you see a difference in the counter height as you stand there. Example, If I stand at the unshimmed corner, the counter would be below the belt line, if I am at the shimed corner it will be above the belt line. I think that would be noticable, right?
