I have the original builder's kitchen oak cabinets from 1990.
The hinges are exposed but I do not know why they won't close, most of them are open a bit.
Can the hinge be adjusted or must one resort to use velcro or other things?
Many of those hinges have a built in plastic spring---old age may have caused their death---
Remove a good hinge and see if it snaps closed---then your bad hinge---I think your hinged are shot---new hinges are available at a reasonable cost and are easy to change---let us know what you find---
