I have a apartment size kenmore washer with the dryer on top. Model #417'98702891. I will not drain. I have fixed this problem before by raising the hose in the back or lowering it. but this time that doesnt seem to be working. I have checked it anything is clogged up. nothing seems to be. Water is coming out of the tub, comes out of the pump, pump seems to be working, If the tub is full and I put it on spin if I lower the hose in the back it will drain but then it will not fill. If I raise the hose it will fill but will not drain

Lowering the hose is just letting it gravity drain, which is why it won't fill-just runs right out. since it will gravity drain [means not clogged] it has to be pump or pump not getting power.
